Flocknote

Dear Parishioner,
As you are well aware, during these most trying times many adjustments to our lives have had to be made. In compliance with the Governor's orders and directives from our Bishop, adjustments have and continue to be made here at the Parish too. Many of our past practices of Lenten prayer services and Mass celebrations are presently in a "holding pattern". Cancellations seem to be looking more evident. We are posting our bulletin on our parish website www.seaswhiting.org to try and keep you informed but changes and updates are happening daily. Since we have no idea of how long this may continue and to have the ability to communicate with you, we are swiftly working towards activating another way to contact you more readily.

After researching we have found a program called Flocknotes which is used by over 4000 Churches to reach their members at a moment's notice using email and/ or text messaging. Even after this pandemic is over, Flocknotes will continue to be used for weather related closings, event cancellations, or even as reminders of upcoming Parish events. The choice is completely yours whether you would like to receive these notifications which would be clearly and safely identified as coming from St. Elizabeth Ann Seton's Church and sent from a Parish Staff member. There is no cost to you. If you personally do not have email or text messaging, perhaps you could share a relative's contact info.

If you would like to participate, the only requirement from you is to fill out the enclosed information sheet and return it to us as soon as possible. Returns may be made in one of these ways: email it to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., US mail to: 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, drop in marked receptacle in the Chapel vestibule (Chapel is open 9:00 am – 3:00 pm daily during this crisis), or put it in the tube section of the mailbox located outside the Rectory. If you have any more questions, you can call the Parish Office Monday thru Friday between 9:00‐ 12:00. If you choose not to, nothing needs to be done, you will not be contacted.

We join you in prayer that this pandemic will end soon and we will be able to all partake in the beautiful ending to our Lenten Season and Easter celebrations. In the mean time we encourage you to stay home and watch the broadcasted Masses available. May God Bless us all!

Sincerely,
Father Pat Papalia
