THE HELPING HANDS MINISTRY GET TO KNOW US
The “Helping Hands” Ministry of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton was created several years ago to fill a need in our Parish. Now, the volunteers that are part of this ministry are providing a valuable service for a growing number of parishioners. The services provided for our clients through “Helping Hands” include transportation to the doctor's office, supermarket, bank, pharmacy, church and other destinations within the Whiting area. Shut-ins rely on our volunteers to shop for them. We have people who will help clients with paper work and serve as a companion on a short term basis. As our list of clients grows, so does our need for additional volunteers. It is important to remember that we are here, not to be served, but to serve – and the “Helping Hands” Ministry provides an excellent opportunity to give of yourself to help others. Please tell us when and in what capacity you would like to help by calling the “HELPING HANDS” office at 732-350-5042 MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 9:00 AM TO 12 NOON. Thank you! |
