UPCOMING EVENTSpilgrim
During the month of November we will be collecting food for the food pantry. Please drop off items in the box located in front of the Religious Education Office. These items will be included in Thanksgiving baskets put together for the needy. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

pies Wednesday, November 26th - NO FORMAL CLASSES, FAMILY MASS in the Church at 5pm. We are asking you to please bring a donation of food for our food pantry. These items will be used to restock the pantry after putting together our Thanksgiving baskets. Thank you again for your generosity.

Saturday, November 29th at 10:30AM to 1:30PM for an ADVENT WREATH WORKSHOP! Make your very own advent wreath for your family’s dinner table centerpiece. Complete with fresh greenery, bows and candles. Learn about the significance behind the advent wreath and remember the Reason for the Season. On behalf of Fr. Pat and the Religious Education Office we ask you to sign up (see the attached form) by Wednesday, November 12.
$12.00 per wreath (one per family), candles
$3.00 SEAS meal per person,
$3.00 Christmas Craft per person

 

A sign-up sheet for the 2008 Christmas Pageant is attached. If you wish to participate, please return by November 12th.
NOTE: For those parents who wait in their cars while their children attend Religious Education, the Church Library will now be open on Wednesdays 4PM to 7PM. Please feel free to come in and relax.

Wednesday, November 12th -- Meeting for Confirmation Parents at 7:15PM in St. Matt’s Room. At least one parent must attend.
Saturday, November 15th -- Commitment Saturday Students of the 2008 Confirmation Class are to attend the 4:00PM Mass. STUDENTS AND PARENTS MUST ATTEND MASS.

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT EVENTS

ATTN: Parents! Note the following ideas for the 6, 7, & 8th grade students. Students check out this monthly section for suggestions on fulfilling your Community Service Hours!

PROJECT LITTLE SOLDIER visit the Toms River Armory, Nov. 22nd, 23rd, Dec. 6th and/or the 7th from 12PM to 2PM to sort Christmas gifts to be given to our deployed soldiers’ children this Christmas.

The Nov. 23rd Installation Mass at 4:00PM will be held in the Church for Fr. Pat. The Hospitality Committee is in need of help for the reception to follow.

The Nov. 29th Advent Family Workshop is recruiting kitchen help and clean up crew.

The Nov. 26th Thanksgiving Mass is in need of ushers, greeters, gift bearers, candle & cross bearer, readers and food collectors. Please visit the Religious Ed. Office prior to or after your class on Wednesdays to sign up.

Catholic Charities FIX-IT Program needs your help! Rake leaves, general yard clean-up, and cleaning windows arehammer just a few jobs you can do to help seniors maintain their independence. Please contact Paula Hoffman at 732-350-4120 or via e-mail phoffman@cctrenton.org for more information.

JUNIOR YOUTH MINISTRY NEWS

Tickets are available for $10.00 per person for the Pasta Dinner Sunday, Nov. 9. from 1:30PM-3:30PM. To purchase tickets please visit the Y/M Offices Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9:30AM and 1:30PM.
